How can I get my material in Written?

There are two ways material can be included in Written:

  • Through Review
  • Through Advertising

To have your material considered for review, please submit two (2) non-returnable copies along with any relevant press release to:

Written prefers to received bound, galley copies of books, but will accept finished copies of books. Please note that all material submitted for consideration of review is non-returnable.

What does it mean for my material to be considered for review?

All material submitted for review is considered by our editors. In selecting material to review, an editor considers a multitude of things, including timeliness, relevance to our audience and editorial fit.

How long is material considered for review?

Books are considered for up to six months after the publication date. Due to a 6-week lead time for book reviews, Written prefers to receive galley copies of books.

Music is considered for up to a year.

TV, plays and movies are considered as long as material submitted is accessible to our audience.

Do you accept freelance reviewers?

Written’s reviewers are authors and writers who are also avid readers/ They are freelance to the publication and are typical assigned books for review.

Because the word is the most important aspect of our publication, we typically do not do author interviews. Authors are used as subject matter experts for articles and can be profiled according to editorial needs.
